SAS POORNA AROGYA HEALTHCARE PVT. LTD.

SAS Poorna Arogya Healthcare Care Pvt. Ltd. is one of the leading community based healthcare provider offering access of affordable, inclusive and quality healthcare services to the rural and urban poor in the southern Indian state of Karnataka and north east Indian state of Assam, on a health mutual basis from 2010 in partnership with leading non-government organisation (NGOs), Micro Finance Institution (MFIs) and an extensive network of partner hospital.

Today SAS-PA Program has scaled across in depth into 22 districts of Karnataka and 8 districts of North Eastern State of Assam having a membership base of 6 lakhs plus members, 120 partner hospitals, over 90 plus employees and 1.5 Million + USD dispersed in Inpatient care.  2 lakh Outpatients were treated and 35 thousand plus surgeries carried out.

The SAS-PA Program is a health mutual model, community based in collaboration with NGOs/ MFIs and partner hospitals driven by robust technology. The model is scalable, measurable and repeatable, and has won the prestigious India Development Market Place Award (IDM) from the World Bank Group to replicate the model in the North Eastern States of Assam, Mizoram and Meghalaya. As part of the DFID Seed Symposium, SAS is in talks with various stake holders to scale and replicate its model in East Africa & SAARC countries in South Asia.

Nature of Business

SAS Poorna Arogya Healthcare Program is designed by SAS Poorna Arogya Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Mysore and being implemented in collaboration with NGOs/ NGO-MFIs / Cooperatives and network of partner hospitals. SAS-PAP is a community based Private and NGO/MFI sector venture to provide low cost health services to the urban and rural poor.

Vision: To provide health care services to 5 million urban and rural poor by 2025.

Mission: To serve our customers; urban and rural poor families in particular, to restore and maintain their health through implementation of suitable health care program and development of health care infrastructure.

SAS PAP Program Features: To achieve its vision of reaching out to large number of people. SAS is in the process of forging partnerships with large MFIs and NGOs throughout the country.

  • A key element of the program is to use any surplus in the health benefit fund for building new hospitals, laboratories and healthcare facilities.
  • SAS will continue to increase preventive healthcare programs to increase the overall health of the population.
